Description
A fast-growing, evergreen tree, with leathery silver/green leaves that vary in shape. Its profusion of scented, pea-sized, creamy-golden, bottle-brush-like flowers appear in late winter/early spring and are highly prized by florists. Blackwood is also renowned for its timber, which is extensively used for high-quality specialist furniture.
Grow in moist but well-drained, reasonably fertile, neutral to acid soil or compost in sun.
