Description
Probably the nicest edible member of the Rumex family, this well known sorrel forms a fair ground cover, growing 30cm high and self-seeding itself around the garden.
The leaves, as well as being edible raw or cooked with a delicious lemony flavour and nice texture, are used medicinally; they should be used sparingly.
It is unfussy about soil or situation.
