Apple 'Benedictin'

Dual purpose apple. Flower group C. Harvested in August/October; keeps in storage until around February, growing sweeter over time. Highly recommended cooker, widely used in Tarte aux Pommes. Medium to large, round, and slightly flattened with an orange-yellow skin washed in red stripes. Bénédictin is an old heritage apple variety from northwestern France, named in honor of the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Jumièges in Normandy.
