Broom 'Boskoop Ruby'

An abundance of rich-ruby, pea-like blooms are produced all the way along the arching, wiry stems creating a stunning display of colour. A florist's dream for indoor arrangements as each cut stem lasts 14-21 days in a vase. Makes a great nurse tree/shrub for plants needing extra protection whilst establishing. Cytisus' common name is 'Broom' because the long 'whip-like' stems were once cut and tied together to make brushes.

Height and spread of approximately 1.5m, preferring well-drained soil in sun or part shade. It is a deciduous hardy perennial which will flourish outdoors all year round with no extra protection. Sterile seeds, so no risk of it becoming invasive.
