Description

Zalagyöngye (also known as Pearl of Zala or Perle von Zala) is a Hungarian white hybrid grape bred in 1957 that yields fine golden berries in loose bunches. Good wine, and enjoyable dessert grape. High quality, ripens medium early. Good disease resistance (Piwi).

Leaves are eaten cooked - rated good in our taste tests, or added to pickles to retain crunch.

Excellent autumn display of vibrant foliage, turning shades of yellow and gold.
