Description
Perennial to 60 cm (2 ft) high or more, with spikes of orange-pink flowers over summers and autumn, much loved by bees. The leaves are anise-flavoured and used as a flavouring. Well-drained soil and sun.
The tubular blossoms are incredibly rich in nectar, acting as an irresistible beacon for honeybees, bumblebees, butterflies, and hummingbird-like hawk moths.
