Description
A perennial legume of the sweet pea family, with similar colourful flowers, a scrambling tendril climber to 2m high. A good nitrogen fixer and bee plant which tolerates considerable shade.
Can be used as a green manure plant and for erosion control; also as a fodder plant.
Thrives in moderately fertile, humus-rich, and well-drained soil. It adapts well to sand, loam, or clay-loam textures and tolerates all pH ranges.
