Description
A large shrub, 5-10m high. It bears good crops of sweet, tasty, succulent, apple-flavoured fruits June/July.
March brings a profusion of white star-shaped flowers, along with bronze-tinged green young leaves, that turn a striking red colour in autumn.
Unopened flower buds also make the most potent almond-flavoured syrup/liquor.
Good wind resistance and also good in hedges.
