Description
Black walnut - seedling. Mother tree bears medium to large, thin shelled nuts of excellent flavour; and is heavy and early cropping. Features an unusually thin shell and high kernel recovery rate (around 36% nutmeat). Known for a distinctively fruity rating compared to wild black walnut varieties.
A rich, natural brown dye can be made from the outer husks or hulls of the black walnut tree.
Self fertile but highly recommended to plant more than one tree to increase yields.
