Description
Morello is by far the most popular cooking cherry. Very hardy and very reliable cropping. An acid flavour.
Morello can be picked at the very sour, dark red stage for stewing or it can be left until almost black and bitter-sweet. Ideal for north walls and makes the most delicious cherry pie, just add ice cream!
It grows well in northern parts of the UK.
