Fig 'Tayip 1'

Fruit dark green/purple, good flavour, reliable in UK. Believed to originate from colder parts of Turkey.

Fig leaves are also edible and bring notes of coconut, vanilla, and almond to both sweet and savoury dishes. Use them to flavour syrups, desserts, cocktails or to wrap fish.
