Description
European perennial growing to 2m high when flowering. The leaves can be used for tea, the flowers for wine and the roots cooked and eaten; the aerial parts are medicinal, and all parts give dyes.
A good mineral accumulator which attracts bees and beneficial insects. An essential oil from the plant is sometimes used in perfumery.
