Pawpaw 'Improved'

A sweet, tropical, and luscious fruit often described as a mix of banana, mango, and pineapple, with a soft, custard-like texture. Eye-catching flowers and striking yellow autumn colour.

Seedling of an early ripening selection, small-medium fruits, stores well.

A large shrub to 12m high. Needs a moist, sunny position. 

Pawpaws have a very long tap root and focus their energy on root growth during their first few years. Please note that the top growth of these seedlings is relatively small due to this. Once planted out they will put up top growth in no time!
