Pear 'Humbug'

Dual purpose. Green, yellow and pink striped pear. Pick Oct, use til March. Pollination group C. Sweet and juicy texture with a thick skin. Even young shoots appear stripey in winter. In its native country, Ukraine, it is known as the ‘Easter Pear’ as it is traditionally stored throughout the winter and paraded as a table decoration before eating at Easter time to celebrate the onset of spring.
