Description
Flavor King is a Plum/apricot hybrid (often referred to as a plumcot or pluot) from the USA.
It produces sweet, aromatic, reddish-purple fruit with deep red flesh and is harvested in end of August/September.
Part self fertile, but cross pollination will massively increase yields. Cross-pollinates well with other early-flowering Japanese-type plums, gages, or cherry plums (Prunus cerasifera).
